3.23 Update: Benedetto Office Hours

I will be available for office hours beginning tomorrow from 6-7 pm.  Please click on the appropriate day and link below.  This is a new form of communicating, so please let me know if you have difficulties getting through to me.  I am learning as we go.

Students, please have your parents near you if you wish to communicate via the Google Meet links below.  You can also communicate via the traditional ways we have in the past:  using your parents email or Google Classroom.

Student/Parent Notes: How to Connect to Google Meet
  1. All teachers will send out links via parent email to their Google Meet scheduled open meetings
  2. When you receive the link, just click during the teacher’s office hours.
  3. It will take you to the Google Meet site.
  4. On your first log in, you will need to give Google permission to access your microphone and camera.
  5. From here your child will be able to participate in the conversation with the teacher and other students.

Etiquette for Google Meet

  1. Join during the appropriate time. This way you can be respectful of your teacher’s time and other students.
  2. Mute yourself, unless you are asking a question. It reduces background noise and allows for the teacher and other students to be heard. It also keeps the screen from jumping around.
  3. Use the chat feature responsibly. The chat feature is a great way to ask a question,  a follow up question, or let the teacher know you understood during a Meeting.  This way the teacher and other students can respond to everyone and also gauge if she or he is explaining something in a clear way.
  4. Please use respectful language and practice patience.  This is a new learning experience for both the teachers and students, so there may be some glitches along the way. Let’s remember to be kind.
