Here is the calendar for October.  There isn't much posted for quizzes and test yet, so look back each week. The Race for Education is THIS FRIDAY , October 4th.  Here is the link to sign up and volunteer that day if you haven't had the chance to do so yet.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0c44aeae2dabf58-race1 National History Day (NHD):  7th and 8th Grade students have been given their NHD timeline for the year.  NHD presentations at SAS are scheduled for January 23, 2020, time TBD, weather permitting. Please visit the high school open house post if you haven't already done so.  Having gone through this process twice over the last two years, I would highly suggest 7th and 8th grade families attend the open houses for the schools your child/children are interested in attending.  With my son, a junior at Archbishop Curley, I started attending the open houses his 6th grade year.  I wanted to understand the process before officially having him consider schools his 7th grade year.  Find a friend and buddy up for these events. Meet the Team Night 9/18 7:00 - 8:30 pm Begins in the church, then on to classrooms Middle School teachers will be available to say hello, but no formal presentation will be given. Quizzes for the next two weeks (specific topics are posted the weekend prior): 6th Grade: Science Quiz 9/17:  Elements, Compounds and Mixtures (I just realized I don't see 6th on Tuesday, so we will move this to 9/18.) Social Studies Quiz 9/24 7th Grade: Science

High School Open House Dates

Hello MS families, I wanted to post the high school open house dates for you to consider attending.  Again, the first high school fair is September 24th at Monsignor Slade. I don't have dates yet for IND or Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as I couldn't find those.  I will update this reference blog when I come across the dates and times. It is highly suggested that you pre-register for all Open Houses.  Please go to each school's website to find registration information.  Also note that some are on the same day.  I would suggest attending one as they begin and then run to another one that has a later ending time. October Open Houses: Maryvale Preparatory 10/4 * Go on their website for more details (Girls) Notre Dame Preparatory 10/12 8:30 - 12:00 (Girls) The Catholic High School 10/19 9:00 - 12:00 (Girls) Loyola Blakefield 10/20 10:00 - 1:00 (Boys) Archbishop Curley 10/26 & 10/26 10:00 - 12:00 (Boys) Archbishop Spalding 10/27 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, 1:30 (Co-ed) Mt.
