In my morning reading, before reading Psalm 46 was this from Rev 21:6, "To the thirsty I will give you a gift from the spring of life-giving water." Are we thirsting for a greater relationship with the Lord?  Though there is so much going on these days, we need to keep your eyes on Him and the fact that this still is the season of Lent. Science and Social Studies: I have added some new videos or readings into each Google Classroom this morning. I provided  6th & 8th grade Social Studies each with a new video on the unit we were currently in prior to the school closure.  I want all students to have access to the curriculum if they so choose. For science, I have added a suggested reading from the NSTA (National Science Teachers Association) e-books to introduce their last units.  They are interactive with some video clips, questions, and other ways for students to engage with their learning. I am not assigning any new material for students at this time...

Happy Sunday! From my spiritual reading this morning, "The service you cannot render me you must do for your neighbors." -St. Catherine of Siena recounting words God spoke to her Just a few ways to do this: - Say a prayer for this in need, or for the whole world - Pray for the souls in purgatory - Check in on family and friends to see how they are doing  - Making a meal for someone - Buying carry out to support your local restaurants so that they can pay their staff - Buying groceries for an elderly neighbor - Writing thank you cards to the local hospitals to the doctors and nurses working so hard - Writing thank you cards to our supermarket employees for all their hard work  Let us all help those that we can during this time of need and uncertainty.  Keep our eyes on Him and lifting each other up will help each of us to get through this stronger than when we entered. If you see this before 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, join me for ma...

3.19 Update

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” -2 Timothy 1:7 Hello Everyone, I hope that everyone is doing well.  I just wanted everyone to know that I have been putting daily videos and/or links into each of the Google Classrooms for students to continue/review/get a head start or learn something new in science and social studies.  These aren't mandatory, but a way to stay fresh in these areas. I also have normal assignments open if your child would like to get some things out of the way.  I won't be adding anything new at this moment.  These are assignments they had assigned to them prior to our knowing that we would be leaving for 2 weeks. If your child is missing assignments, this would be a great time for them to get caught up and submit their work on Google Classroom. Also, make sure they are getting outside to observe all the wonderful changes brought to them by the changes of Spring (Yay....
